       Kyiv's ancient land... Its destiny is inseparable from that of Ukraine. It was the cradle of the Ukrainian state. The important milestones in the Kyiv area's history were the world famous agricultural Trypillian culture, the economic potential of Kyivan  Rus’-Ukraine, one of the most powerful states in the medieval Europe, numerous heroic events of the Cossacks' republic, a most active participation of the area in the political, economic and social processes during the new and newest Ukrainian history.

       Nowadays the Kyiv region is one the leading  areas of Ukraine. The economic experience  gained for centuries, the industry and talent of the residents, the industrial and agricultural basis created by numerous generations combined with up-to-date technologies provide ample opportunites for the Kyiv region in the context of market economy.

       The dynamic development of the region’s industrial complex bears evidence of it. The enterprises of the power generating, chemical, machine-building, food processing, wood and paper industries are functioning within this complex.

       The highly developed agricultural  production ensures the Kyiv region the main role  among other regions of Ukraine.
